My Mission
My mission is to build an online community for people to receive quick and effective rehabilitation. I manage this by providing specific and personalized 1-1 rehab coaching and free non-specific rehab content through different social media outlets.
After working for many years for both private and public healthcare sectors in the U.S., I’ve learned that there is a growing disparity between those who can and cannot afford quality rehab services. The growing trend is to utilize more self-help guidance for small to medium health concerns in order to avoid extraordinary healthcare costs. To me, the question for any human shouldn’t have to be, “what healthcare can I afford?” but instead, “who can best help me to take care of my specific injury?” The healthcare system, especially in the U.S., has failed to change the simple ethics of health and wellbeing accessibility and affordability for people, which has led me to find another way.
I also believe that assured quality time with your healthcare provider could be an invaluable asset. By engaging in one-on-one, 60-minute sessions, someone will learn why & how to take care of themselves better vs. just being told what to do in 5 minutes. Quality 1-1 education about an injury is the ultimate way to learn how to heal and make physical ability breakthroughs. This is what I love sharing with you!
My Story
My journey first began with my education from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and Movement Sciences, graduating in 2017. From there I continued to work in Chicago, the Midwest and then in California at both outpatient orthopedic and inpatient healthcare settings.
Apart from my work experience in the United States, I also have further experience working in a Scandinavian (Swedish) hospital while acclimating to a different healthcare system, culture and language. Working in Sweden has been most insightful in understanding the benefits of a universal healthcare system where both private and public healthcare services can work equitably for everyone. This insight has been foundational in my motivation to develop a business that can offer rehabilitation services to those who will find online rehab the solution to their injury recovery. I have listed different injuries that I have experience treating here in the FAQ section.
As of right now, the place I now call home is in the beautiful city of Chicago, IL. Aside from my background and where I am in the world, I still love being active in a number of recreational and organized sports such as running, CrossFit & weightlifting, cross-country skiing, soccer and rock climbing; reading non-fiction or fantasy novels, taking long walks or bike rides to a cafe, and traveling when we can!
So no matter where you are in the world, please don’t hesitate to reach out for further questions or clarification.
All my best,
~Becca
